  1. Hi Donna. I found your blog via Avenue 57 and thought Id stop by to say hi! *waves* I too am a forty something mother of two teenagers and have been blogging for just over a year. I love it but it's more of a general lifestyle blog, I've never really been 'that' into fashion but it's funny as I'm growing up more, don't like the 'O' word, I'm getting more into it, maybe that's because I'm now a blog fan!
My blog is www.pricelesslifeofmine.com if you fancy taking a peek.
    See you around!

  6. Hi I am a guest at a wedding in Italy in August and I have no idea what to wear. As a just passed 40 something I want to aim for cool and sophisticated rather than sweet sixteen in a prom dress. But how do you wear a shift dress if you are pear shaped?

    1. Hi Hayley it's all about balancing out your proportions. Keep the bottom half plain and simple and accentuate your shoulder area through pattern or colour or embellishment. Detail on the shoulders will make them stand out and look wide which in turn will balance out your hips. May be separates so that you can have a play around with the top half??? There's some lovely shaped skirts around this year. Look for something in a soft fabric that will drape over your hips. Is that any help at all?? x

  7. Hi Donna, wonder if I could call on your expert opinion again! have posted in AV57 and undecided re a midi dress (again!), the pattern is pretty big (I'm 5ft 5) so not sure if too much!
Thanks if you have the time, Sandra xx
